God shows us that actions are more important than words, and the world verifies this for us. Over and over again
God tells us to do in His name and the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. This doing is not for us to gain our
place in heaven, but rather is we take our cues from several specific passages of scripture. This doing is not for us to gain our place in heaven, but rather is the evidence of our salvation that is through faith.
We take our cues from several specific passages of Scripture.

Global Missions
Haiti Mission:
In Haiti parents often don't even name their children until they are 4 years old because so many do not live to that age. Compassion International, one of the largest and most effective organizations in the world in dealing with children's issues recognizes this and through their child survival programs (CSP) seeks to reduce infant mortality,
improve health and rebuild families now and for the future.
CATW supports HA CS17, a CSP in a suburb of Port-au-Prince which cares for approximately 300 mothers and their children from birth through age 3. Our financial supports provides food, medical supplies, and clothing for HACS-17 participants. In the future we plan, through God's provision via our congregation, to build a water treatment system for our CSP partner. This will give both clean water and be a sustainable revenue source.

In Matthew God tells us, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." That verse is the motivation bringing us to Linn Park to feed our homeless friends each Sunday morning. We welcome anyone to participate in this mission with us as we try to follow our Father's direction, giving to those less fortunate than we are and loving them without judgment.
We meet on Sunday mornings at 6:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Jason's Deli / Walgreen's on Hwy 280. We understand if getting up at 6:00 on Sunday mornings isn't your 'thing', but there are many other ways to be a vital part of this mission. We are always taking donations such as clothing, coats, shoes, socks etc. and of course financial support is always welcome.
If you are interested in participating with us in any way please contact Sarah Mayo at sarah@churchatthewell.com or 205.612.7227.
The Village:
Supporting this re-entry ministry that helps men and women coming out of jail, prison, and rehab centers to
rebuild their lives through the knowledge that Christ is both in them and with them as they start fresh. We seek to offer mentoring through art, running, or other interpersonal relationship building activities.
Vapor Thrift:
Vapor is always in need of extra hands and compassionate hearts. We would like to pick at least one day a month and go volunteer at Vapor. If you are interested in helping us volunteer please contact Christi Cheek and we will pick a time that is best for everyone!
The Thrift Store, open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
is a non-profit venture where donated, gently-used merchandise is sold with proceeds directly benefiting Vapor Sports Ministries.
It is also a place from which the vision of Vapor is spread to the greater Birmingham area through videos,
in-store displays and interaction with our friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Because the store is a place where we receive donated merchandise it becomes a humanitarian aid receiving and distribution point, equipping Vapor Sports Ministries with much needed supplies for centers in third-world environments.
